We know how much our supporters value Moorfields and how much you want to help. We want to give you the chance to support us in any way you can, so we’ve launched a new fundraising volunteer programme.
We know how much our supporters value Moorfields and how much you want to help. We want to give you the chance to support us in any way you can. That’s why we’ve launched our new fundraising volunteer programme.
By volunteering for us, you can support us with your time as well as through donations. It also allows us to give something back - whether that’s learning new skills, gaining experience in the charity sector or joining a warm and welcoming community and making new friends.
Our new fundraising volunteers will be helping us raise the all important funds that help us make an impact on the lives of people with sight loss by:
- being a representative of the charity and making some noise at our fundraising events like Eye to Eye to support our participants
- selling our festive season raffle tickets
- educating visitors to the hospital about the work we do and our current appeals
- encouraging new participants to sign up to events such as Moorfields Tea or Ride London.
It’s the perfect opportunity for our supporters to get involved with the fantastic work we do, and to have a direct impact on how much we raise and the support we can offer to Moorfields Eye Hospital and the Institute of Ophthalmology.
Speaking about the new programme, our Volunteer and Supporter Relations Officer Holly Hollis said:
I’m so excited for this volunteer programme to launch, it’s a fantastic way for people to engage with the charity. The hospital offers such amazing care for its patients, I’m sure many of them will want to give back by offering their time and energy to help us fundraise. We can’t wait to have you on board!
