1 in 5 people will live with significant sight loss at some point in their lives.

You can choose a distance that challenges you the most:

  • 1 mile
  • 5 miles
  • 15 miles

The 5 and 15 mile routes will pass some amazing historic landmarks including the London Eye and along the River Thames.

As part of our 10 year celebrations, we will be hosting a street party close to our City Road hospital for our start and end point. We will have our friends from Starbucks providing the refreshments plus plenty of surprises!

You can create a team and walk with your friends, family and colleagues (kids under 16 walk for free), or come solo and join one of our companion guided walks. If you need more personal support, we have Moorfields volunteers who can walk with you one-on-one.

I want to fundraise for Moorfields who have really helped me. I was surrounded by a lot of anxiety when I was diagnosed with uveitis. I’d like to give back to a place that has provided me with security and comfort in an isolating situation.

Once your are signed up, we will automatically create your fundraising page and share it with you so you can start raising money straight away. We ask all adult walkers to raise a minimum of £100 but anything you raise is so very gratefully received.

We will support you every step of the way once you have signed up with our Eye to Eye newsletter and Facebook community- we are always just an email or phone call away. There will be tips to maximise your fundraising plus motivational stories and exciting announcements along the way to the big day.

And of course, don’t forget our limited edition tenth anniversary t-shirt will be heading your way!

In 2022-23, we were able to invest over £6 million to support research, innovation in patient care, staff wellbeing and training at Moorfields Eye Hospital and the UCL Institute of Ophthalmology.

Thanks to our supporters, we’ve seen advances in research we are funding into corneal disease, how machine learning is transforming treatment of macular degeneration and changes to paediatric pathways by working with GPs in the community.

But we can only achieve this with the help of fundraisers just like you. So come join us and make a difference. Moorfields needs you.
