Alongside this, we support initiatives that promote staff development, wellbeing, and enhance patient experience at Moorfields, helping to ensure that patients get the best possible care.

Investing in people
- PhD studentships - enable training and support for early-stage researchers in their journey to become tomorrow’s leaders
- Research training fellowships - support clinical staff to carry out pre-clinical research towards a PhD
- Springboard awards - help researchers develop new ideas and take the next step in their academic careers
- Career development awards - support future leaders in eye research and clinical practice
Funding innovation
- Equipment grants - we fund state-of-the-art equipment that will support current and future research
- Innovation and improvement grants - enable staff to develop and test new ideas that will bring about positive change, improve clinical practice and enhance staff and patient experience
Supporting staff and patient experience
- Conference grants - help staff and researchers share knowledge and inspire others across the globe
- Publication support grants - support the dissemination of research outcomes by providing support towards publication or open access fees
- Event delivery grants - provide funding for meetings orevents that will support staff to share knowledge and enhance learning
