How to host a raffle
Raffles are a great way to fundraise. They also make a fantastic edition to an existing fundraising event. Find out how to host one below.
1. Choose a time and location
Decide when and where you would like to host your raffle. Raffles are a great addition to other fundraising events such as quiz nights and coffee mornings.
2. Pick your prizes
Make sure to leave plenty of time to source your prizes. You could even ask local businesses, friends and family to donate prizes too.
3. Prepare your tickets
Either order raffle tickets online or create your own, then decide how much each ticket will cost.
4. Spread the word
Tell as many people as you can about your raffle. You could share it on social media, email, posters and word of mouth. You could also share a short message about why you are fundraising for Moorfields Eye Charity.
5. Keep track of tickets sold
You will be selling lots of raffle tickets so it’s important to keep track of who bought which numbers to avoid confusion later. You could track this by creating a list or spreadsheet.
6. Announce the winners

7. Celebrate and show gratitude
