People looking at online courses on their tablets

Being diagnosed with an eye condition raises questions for the patient, friends and family. The Moorfields Education team are running free online courses on major eye conditions, helping people understand treatment, management and practical aspects of daily living.

These introductory courses focus on glaucoma, age-related macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy. They’re led by world-leading experts at Moorfields and the UCL Institute of Ophthalmology.

They’re open to everyone - patients, friends, family, carers and anyone who wants to know more about eye health.

The online courses will help you to better understand the eye condition, ongoing treatment and care. They also give practical help for people living with the eye condition.

They build on the information Moorfields provides to patients and delve deeper into their work.

The courses include advice on both optical and non-optical tools for patients in varying stages of the disease, as well as pointers on how to cope with daily tasks.

I’m very proud that we’ve produced such accessible learning – demystifying eye conditions and giving people the practical help they need.
