Two hands over a braille book

Moorfields Eye Charity is partnering with Thomas Pocklington Trust (TPT) to offer a new internship opportunity, providing a career development pathway for people living with sight loss who have an interest in grant-making, research and charity administration.

The nine-month, full-time, paid internship will be based in the charity’s grants and research team, with hybrid working arrangements in place.

The role is open exclusively to blind and partially sighted applicants and aims to support individuals in developing valuable professional experience within the charitable and health research sectors.

We are committed to diversity and inclusion at Moorfields Eye Charity. This internship is about more than professional experience — it’s about opening doors, building confidence, and creating space for people with lived experience of sight loss to thrive in meaningful careers. We’re proud to be partnering with Thomas Pocklington Trust to offer this opportunity.

  • Assisting with general administrative duties and team support
  • Supporting applicants and helping manage the team’s shared mailbox
  • Maintaining electronic records and assisting with meeting organisation
  • Helping optimise the charity’s grant management system and data reporting
