On Tuesday 17 October Georgie Morrell will be taking comedy to the Phoenix Artist Club in London. Georgie, who is a partially-sighted comedian, will be telling a unique account of what it is to face inevitable blindness with her very own brand of humour.
A Poke in the Eye is the “part autobiographical, part fiction, part sexy new comedy”, written by Georgie herself. Georgie describes her show as “One woman. One eye. And her (sort of) blind life...”
In the show she answers questions such as ‘Do your other senses really get stronger?’ ‘Will I get a new eye that shoots lasers?’
Georgie has been heard on BBC 5Live, BBC Ouch, BBC Radio 4, Channel 5 and Time Out Magazine.
All money that is raised on the night will go to Moorfields Eye Charity where Georgie is currently a patient. It is definitely a show not to miss and has been a success in Edinburgh in 2016 and 2017.
