Join hundreds of walkers, human and canine, to walk from Moorfields Eye Hospital to the London Eye and help fundraise to build a world beyond sight loss.
Eye to Eye is our annual walking event that we hold every year in March. It is a great way for patients, staff, friends and family to raise funds for Moorfields Eye Charity and to show their support for or honour a loved one.
Choose between walking four or 14 miles and make it even more fun by forming a team and walking with your family, friends and colleagues. Every penny you raise will help fund pioneering research at Moorfields Eye Hospital to help create a future where sight loss is a thing of the past.
Eye to Eye raises funds for pioneering research into eye disorders. We aim to raise over £150,000 towards areas of eye research such as glaucoma, the leading cause of irreversible blindness worldwide, and age-related macular degeneration, the main cause of blindness in adults aged over 60 in the western world. Since Eye to Eye began, donations raised have helped support vital research projects including studies exploring the genetics of keratoconus and the impact of diabetic retinopathy on the structure and function of the eye.

Meet our walkers:
The Thornley family from Essex , took part on their third Eye to Eye 14 mile walk in 2019
This was my third year taking part in the Eye to Eye and with the support of family and friends I’ve raised over £5,000 for Moorfields hospital to spend on Stargardt’s research to date. In 2015 our son was told he has Stargardt's. He was 15 then and doing his mock GCSE exams which he completed and went on to do A Levels - he is now studying at university. Instead of helplessly watching our son’s sight deteriorate we have found it uplifting joining others on the walk and raising money for vital research into drug, gene and stem cell therapy. We are helping to make it possible our son and many others with Stargardt’s may receive a treatment in their lifetime.
If you have any questions or queries, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org or on 020 7566 2565.
We look forward to seeing you in 2020!
