The London Marathon, which usually raises over £60 million for UK charities, was cancelled this year. But we’re not giving up!
First thing: don’t panic! You don’t have to run 26 miles. Instead, we’re asking you to take on an activity or challenge of your choice - it could be anything you like, as long as it contains the numbers 2 and 6.
Finding your challenge
Your first step is to decide what you’re going to do. It could be anything! We’ve seen loads of brilliant ideas from our supporters so far: some have walked, run or cycled 2.6km, while others have chosen more unusual options like juggling for 2.6 minutes or flipping a pancake 26 times!
Help make a difference
Don’t forget to tell your friends and family about your challenge! Making a fundraising page and sharing it on social media is a great place to start.
The money you raise will go towards helping us support Moorfields and its patients through the current crisis and beyond, making a life-changing difference to people with sight loss.
Let us know!
We’d love to hear all about what challenge you’ve chosen and how it’s going! So register with us above to let us know you’re taking part on our behalf, and don’t forget to use #TwoPointSixChallenge and #TeamMoorfields in your posts! Even better, tag us in any photos or videos on social media and we’ll share your efforts far and wide- we’re on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram!
As always, if you’ve got any questions or there’s anything we can help with, don’t hesitate to get in touch.
